Acne - Defination: During adolescence, acne is most common, more than 85% of teenagers are affected, and frequently continues into adulthood. Acne is a skin disease caused in the pilosebaceous units. It is inflammatory, when severe. Acne is commonly referred to pimples, spots. Mostly acne diminishes over time and tends to disappear, or decrease, after one reaches his or her early twenties. However some individuals will continue to suffer well into their thirties, forties and beyond. Most common type of Acne is known as “Acne Vulgaris”, which means “Common Acne”. The most commonly affected areas are face and upper neck, but can be seen on chest, shoulders, back and other parts of body.Apart from scarring, sometimes its main effects are reduced self-esteem and depression.
